Return back to the meteorite list
At 13:53:10 on July 5, 2025 (UT), a slow-speed fireball appeared flying from the Owari region of Aichi Prefecture toward southern Nagano Prefecture.
The fireball was captured by seven cameras, mainly from the SonataCo Network.
The light trail showed no clear signs of fragmentation, suggesting that the fireball was of a solid composition.
The atmospheric entry velocity was approximately 13.0 km/s, and the endding altitude was approximately 29.3 km.
It is estimated that only a small amount of the entering mass was lost in collisions with the atmosphere, with just under 50g remaining and falling to the ground.
The predicted fall area is estimated to be the mountainous area east of Ina Valley in southern Nagano Prefecture, a difficult region for search and discovery.
