１）　　キツネノカミソリ　　L.. sanguinea Maxim. 　Triploid　　　２ｎ＝３２＝１M'＋３１A

　　花形や葉の形態からは２倍体の稔性のあるキツネノカミソリと区別できない。開花出葉期も同じである。ただし、気孔のサイズに差があり、２倍体は５１（±２）μｍで、この分類群は６５（±２）μｍである。また開花が９月上旬になることが多い。産地は静岡県菊川町。
　　染色体数は２ｎ＝３２．染色体構成は３１本のA染色体と１本のM'染色体。このM'染色体は２本のA染色体がロバートソン結合をしたもの。したがってこの分類群はX=11の３倍体である。

1) 　L. sanguinea Maxim.　　　　　2n=32=1M'+31A 　　Triploid taxon
　　　It is very difficult to distinguish this from typical diploid taxon morphologically and phenologically, but the size of stomata (65±２μm）is larger than diploid (51±２μm). This material collected in Kikugawa, Shizuoka Pref. The karyotype is 1M'+31A. M' chromosome should be a product of the Robertson fusion of two A chromosomes.

２）　オオキツネノカミソリ　L. sanguinea Maxim. var. kiushiana (Makino) Koyama　2n＝33＝33A

　　外部形態的には２倍体との識別は困難。強いてあげれば、花被片の幅が２倍体よりやや広く肉厚感がある。気孔のサイズも２倍体（約５０μｍ）に比べ大きい（約６８μｍ）。X=１１の３倍体。写真は山崎敬博士により多良岳で採集され、小石川植物園に栽培されていたもの。

３）　ヒガンバナ　　L. radiata (L'Herit.) Herb. var. radiata　　　２ｎ＝３３＝３３A

　　８月下旬から開花することもあるが、例外で、通常は９月中旬に咲き始める。葉は１０月に伸展し、翌年の４月末までに枯れる。X=11の３倍体。日本では北海道を除く各地で見られる典型的な人里植物で、原産地は中国と考えられる。韓国南部にも分布するが、少ない。最近、全州では公園に大量に植栽され、ヒガンバナ祭りが催されている。北米南東部でも帰化している。中国では揚子江流域以南に広く分布し、ネパールやパキスタンからの報告もある。
　花茎は高さ３０−５５ｃｍ、総苞は長さ３０−３５ｍｍ、小花柄は１２−１５ｍｍ、花筒部は５−８ｍｍ。花被片は長さ３５-４０mm、幅は６−８ｍｍ。雄しべは８０−８５ｍｍで葯は暗赤色。　雌しべは９０ｍｍ。葉は長さ４０−５０ｍｍ、幅は７-15ｍｍ。

3) 　L. radiata (L'Herit.) Herb. var. radiata　　2n=33=33A　　　Triploid taxon
　　　Leaves narrow strap-shaped, up to 50 cm long, 7-15mm wide, deep green with a whitish stripe in the center. Scape 30-55 cm long. Pedicel, 12-15 mm, Tepaltube 5-8 mm; tepals 3.5-4.5 cm long, 6-8 mm wide, strongly crisped-margined and recurved. Stamens 80-85 mm. Style 90 mm. Leaves appearing in autumn; scape produced in August. Distributed in Japan excepting Hokkaido, southern part of Korea, south-western China, and Neparl.

　春から夏にかけて繰り返して除草剤が散布された空き地に咲いた形態形成・色素形成異常のヒガンバナ。１９８９年に新変種、ワラベノカンザシとして記載されたものと同じであろう。核型は観察した限りの個体で、２ｎ＝３３＝３３Aであった。

　These abnormal flowers of L. radiata var radiata were found in the open treated with the weed-killer repeatedly during the summer. This type of plant was described as a new variety, L. radiata (L'Herit) Herb. var. kazukoana Yonezawa in 1989. The karyotype does not differ from the typical L. radiata var. radiata.
