Return buck to Meteorite List
At 19 Mar. 2005, 16h27m50s UT (=20 Mar. 01h27m50s LT) a fireball flighted over Utsunomiya city, Tochigi prefecture to Saitama prefecture.
Automatic TV cameras set in the Kanto region by Mr.SonotaCo, Mr.Sekiguchi, Mr.Ito and Ms.Nomoto captured this fireball.
And also automatic still camera photographed the fireball by Mr.Muroishi in Yanagita village. Witnesses reported from many.
Fragmentation was detected by TV images. Maximum magnitude was measured at -10 magnitudes by M.Ueda.
The orbit aphelion was on asteroids in the main belt but the inclination was larger.
The luminous end height was 22.5km by TV images.
A small meteorite, will some tens - some hundred grams, fell on the Higashimatsuyama city, Saitama prefecture.

The red ellipse is predicted impact area.
Small fragments may fell orange ellipse.
