Return buck to Meteorite List
On Mar.22,2020,14h37m24s UT(=Mar.22, 23h37m24s LT), A bright fireball appeared over the west side of the Bousou peninsula, Chiba prefecture to north-north-east.
Takashi Sekiguchi(in Saitama), SonotaCo(in Tokyo) and Daichi Fujii(in Kanagawa) observed
this fireball by automatic TV cameras. M.Ueda calculated the trajectory and orbit.
Most images were in good condition because near to fireball trajectory and high resolution images as results, calculation errors were small.
Mr.Sekiguchi and Mr.SonotaCo also took fireball spectrums that indicate ferrite rich features.
Some images recorded fragmentation near end and a small pieces release behind.

Initial geocentric velocity was 17.1km/s and disappeared at 29.1km altitude where velocity was 5km/s.
Initial velocity was 18.0km that is fast case of meteorite fall.
Mr. Yamakawa image show fragmentation to about 4 pieces near the end of trajectory.
Estimated impact area was Tomisato city farming village, north region of Bousou peninsula.
Estimated main meteorite particle mass was about 40g but smaller piece was not calculation.
